Finders Ireland take part in a Spring Challenge: Promoting Sustainability and Reducing Environmental Impact

In an effort to prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility, all offices at Finders are introducing the Spring Challenge, a five-week campaign designed to promote awareness and reduce our environmental impact.

Each week features a different theme: energy, nature, food, technology, and fashion, and all staff members are encouraged to participate in at least one challenge related to the weekly theme. Participants are also invited to come up with their own ideas.

For the first week, we will focus on energy conservation. We encourage staff members to switch off their monitors and computers at the plug when they are done with work and to avoid standby settings on electrical equipment. Additionally, on March 25th, we invite everyone to take part in Earth Hour, a global event that encourages people to switch off their lights at home from 8.30-9.30pm.

For week three, the theme is ‘Food’ and how we can help reduce our food waste. We are also encouraging staff to go meat-free for the week, as reducing meat consumption can benefit the environment in numerous ways. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water usage, and it decreases waste and pollution from livestock farming.

We will also be arranging some activities where all proceeds will go to our chosen charities, Friends of the Earth and Anam Cara.
